Personal data of candidates

When do we collect your personal data?

We collect your data from the moment you enter or leave your details on our website, apply for a specific vacancy, or otherwise register or are registered to make use of our services.

We may also collect information about you if you have published it through public sources that may indicate that you are interested in employment-related services. In that case, we will contact you to ask whether you are interested in registering with us in accordance with our terms and conditions and this privacy statement. If you are not interested in our services, you can inform us accordingly. We will then delete your data immediately.

Why do we collect your personal data?

We collect and process your data for the provision of our services, including mediation, recruitment & selection, personal development and employability.

More specifically, your personal data is processed in order to:

  1. make offers to you and/or provide you with information about our services and other activities, and better tailor these to your wishes and qualifications. This is carried out by our employees;
  2. contact you regarding our newsletter;
  3. assess your suitability and availability in connection with mediation for employment or an assignment, which may also involve the use of test results, reference checks, etc.

Which personal data do we collect from you?

We process the personal data necessary for the provision of our services. Some of this information is required in order to make use of our services.   • curriculum vitae (CV), information about education, internships and work experience;
  • information regarding employability and availability;
  • other information that may be relevant in assessing the candidate's suitability, such as references and certificates. These will only be requested with your consent and at a later stage.

In principle, Local Connect does not record special categories of personal data unless this is necessary to comply with legal obligations, consent has been provided, or this is otherwise permitted by or pursuant to the law.

‘Special categories of personal data’ refers to data concerning race, religion or beliefs, political opinions, health, sexual orientation, trade union membership, criminal personal data and/or personal data concerning unlawful or disruptive behaviour.

With whom may we share your personal data?

Local Connect B.V. may only disclose your personal data to its clients or other interested parties involved in the recruitment and selection process after receiving your approval.

How long do we retain your personal data?

Local Connect B.V. applies a retention period of 6 months if you apply for a specific vacancy. Naturally, you may request that we delete your data at any other time.

If you no longer wish to use our services, you may unsubscribe at any time. You can do so via the email address info@localconnect.nl or by contacting one of our employees by telephone. We will delete your data immediately.

Personal data of business relations

This concerns the contact details of employees of clients, suppliers, partners, vendors, referees and any other organisation with which we maintain a business relationship.

Local Connect B.V. processes the personal data of individuals working for companies with which we conduct business:

  1. to provide information relating to recruitment and selection activities;
  2. to maintain the business relationship;
  3. to conclude and maintain service agreements.

We process, among other things, the following personal data of business relations:

  • names, contact details and job titles of contact persons.

For business relations

Security

Local Connect B.V. makes every effort to optimally protect your personal data against unlawful use. We do this through physical, administrative, organisational and technical measures. For example, only authorised persons have access to your data.

If and insofar as data is provided to data processors who provide services or perform assignments on behalf of Local Connect B.V., Local Connect B.V. has agreed with them that they will also optimally protect the personal data, as stated in the general terms and conditions.
